Weathering a Christmas storm

The months of October through December are a cyclist worst nightmare. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all fall one after another in over the span of 60 odd days. Throw in some horrific weather and you have the worst conditions possible for a cyclist... lots of food and not a whole lot desire to ride.

Here comes the real rub... the next few months are supposed to suck weather wise. January, February, and March will bring lower temperatures, icy conditions, and less people to ride with. A perfect combination for less riding and a bigger gut.

If only someone would invent some way stay fit through the winter. Oh yeah... dieting, indoor trainers, and fleece lined tights. But where's the fun in that?
